Von Regisseur Tim Burton stammen einige der wunderbarsten Märchen und Geschichten, die Hollywood seit den 90er Jahren hervorgebracht hat. Seine Filme sind geprägt durch eine ganz einige, individuelle Handschrift, wie sie sich etwa durch bizarre Handlungsorte, verschrobene Typen und viel Liebe zu seinen schaurigen bis traurigen Figuren äußert. Mit BATMAN (1989) hat er Hollywood erobert und seitdem in mehr als 10 Filmen als Regisseur bewiesen, daß er zu den Auserwählten seiner Zunft gehört, die über einen eigenen Stil verfügen.
